Volunteers

Volunteers

The work of the volunteer ministry is to encourage, educate, and enable Southern Baptists within the UISBC to answer God’s call by participating in voluntary mission service in fulfillment of the directives of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20) and Acts 1:8.

Are you interested in volunteering? Here are some ways we can assist you:

  • Assist your church or association in the promotion, training, planning, funding, and preparation for volunteer mission service through mission teams, trips, or other mission activities.
  • Help your church become an “On Mission” church.
  • Assist those in your church or association to answer and respond to God’s call to serve as short-term or long-term missionaries.
  • Assist your church or association to effectively request volunteer mission teams, Y.E.S. mission teams, semester missionaries, summer missionaries, Mission Service Corp missionaries, or other mission services.
  • Help individuals understand the call of missions and respond to the needs of Utah and Idaho by serving as Mission Service Corps missionaries.
