We are Here for You

Your Utah Idaho Southern Baptist Convention ministry leaders continue to closely monitor the progress of COVID-19, the coronavirus, in countries around the world and here in our two states of Idaho and Utah. It has been amazing to see so many of our churches find creative ways to continue serving their members and communities. We hope this landing page will be a place you will turn to for updated resources and links to ideas you can use to weather this current storm.

Let us know how we can help. Our prayers are that all of us stay safe and informed while still bringing the life transforming message of the gospel across Idaho and Utah.

There is a lot of information that is going out about COVID-19, more commonly known as Coronavirus or novel Coronavirus (nCoV). Here is a link from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) if you want to know more about what this virus really is. CDC COVID-19 Current Information

UPDATE (3/25): The CDC has also provided a resource directly geared for Faith Based organizations on this page with suggested guidelines for gatherings and ministry to members of their congregation: CDC Interim Guidance for Faith Based Leaders

Our convention staff has made an official response to COVID-19 in a letter sent to churches and pastors on Thursday, March 12, 2020. You can read that letter here. UISBC Letter in Response to COVID-19 Pandemic

We encourage all Southern Baptist Congregations to continue to pray for our national leaders as they seek to find a solution to this current crisis.

National and State Convention Partner Resources

One of the great things about being part of the larger SBC family is that we can benefit from partner state conventions and national partners like LIfeWay, NAMB/SendRelief, and the SBC Executive Committee, along with Baptist Press, to gain the latest information possible. Here are some links to the pages dedicated to news, information, and critical resources that will help your church serve your communities during our current crisis.
